Trainer’s Choice Classes
As the name implies, the trainer chooses which equipment will be used for the class and which exercises will be performed. Any equipment in the studio is fair game, including the Mat, Tower, Reformer, Cadillac, Chairs and Ladder Barrels.
Trainer’s Choice Class Policies
- All new students to Trainer’s Choice Level 1-2 classes at JoyMoves must first be approved by an instructor for both Mat/Tower Level 1-2 and Group Reformer Level 1-2 classes.
- Similarly all new students to Trainer’s Choice Level 2 classes at JoyMoves must first be approved by an instructor for both Mat/Tower Level 1-2 and Group Reformer Level 2 classes.
- For safety reasons students are allowed a maximum 5-minute late window.

Trainer’s Choice Class Types & Levels
- Trainer’s Choice – Level 1 – 2 – limit 6 students per class
This experienced beginner/intermediate-level class builds on the exercises from JoyMoves various Level 1 classes. In general, before progressing to a higher level class you should be familiar with the Level 1 Mat/Tower and Level 1 Group Reformer class orders and exercise names as well as be able to adequately perform the exercises at that level. This Level 1-2 class level provides additional exercises and/or advancement of existing exercises. The exercises become more complex and challenging and the pace of the class is faster – therefore more strength and stamina are required.
At JoyMoves, in general, all new clients are required to attend Level 1 classes until instructor approval has been given to participate in more advanced classes.
- Trainer’s Choice – Level 2 – limit 6 students per class
This intermediate/advanced level class builds on the exercises from the Level 1 – 2 class. Before progressing to a higher level class you should be familiar with the Level 2 – 3 Mat/Tower and Level 2 Group Reformer class orders and exercise names, as well as be able to adequately perform the exercises at that level. This class level provides additional exercises and/or advancement of existing exercises. The exercises become more complex and challenging and the pace of the class is faster – therefore more strength and stamina are required.
Half & Half Classes
Our “Half & Half” classes are 1/2 a Group Reformer class and 1/2 a Pilates Mat class. At the teachers option, additional “tower” exercises may be incorporated. Prior to taking a Level 1 Half & Half class, a student must be approved for Group Reformer Level 1 classes.
Circuit Classes
In these classes, the trainer takes you through a “circuit,” spending time on the Reformer, Mat (possible including Tower) and then Chair.
